AMBOY — Virginia L. Listek, 85, of Amboy, died Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Franklin Grove Living and Rehab. Center. 

She was born Feb. 26, 1936 in Princeton the daughter of Harry and Minnie (Vaughn) Bollnow. Virginia was a Registered Nurse and had worked in the intensive care unit and been a nursing supervisor at KSB Hospital in Dixon and had also worked in extended care in the Denver, Colo., area.

Virginia was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Amboy and PFLAG.

She was preceded in death her parents, one daughter, Barbara Listek, daughter in law, Barbara Schuler-Listek and brother in law, Fred Appleman.

Virginia is survived by her son, Pete Listek, her sister, Shirley Appleman, one niece, Ginger (David) Daniels, and nephews, Fred (Vicky) Appleman, Todd (Krista) Appleman all of Amboy; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Cremations rites have been accorded and there will be no services.
