AMBOY — Rosella Elaine Flessner, 88, of Amboy, died Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley. 

She was born in May Township, Lee County, on Oct. 22, 1930, the daughter of Ross and Rose (Kelly) Schultz.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy.

Elaine married Robert C. Flessner May 2, 1953, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mendota. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 2012. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Jim Schultz; and two sisters, Mary "Mixie" Schimmer and Rita Hageman.

Elaine is survived by sons, Joe (Marcia) Flessner, of Amboy and Tim (Tami) Flessner, of Sublette; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Nick) Mumm, Kayla (BJ) Payne, Kelly (Gage) Borchelt, and Derek (Katie) Flessner; and four great-grandchildren, Gage, Blake and Abel Mumm and Teddy Flessner.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday May 25, 2019 at St Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy with the Rev. Timothy Draper officiating. Burial will follow in St Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the church. A memorial has been established.
