MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Mary Jeanne Fanelli died on Nov. 8, 2021, in Memphis, Tennessee after an extended illness.
She was born on July 2, 1930, and attended St. Anne grade school and Amboy High School before earning her BS from Illinois State and a Master’s degree from Iowa State. She worked at the University of California at Davis for over 40 years as a research assistant and teaching veterinary students.
Mary Jeanne was preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Helen Fanelli; brother, John Fanelli; and sisters, Frances Dunphy, Helen Hunsaker and Carolyn Fauble.
She is survived by sister, Janet Fanelli Hinrichs, of Memphis; and many nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the spring in St. Patrick’s cemetery in Amboy.
