AMBOY — Linda M. Boysen, 74, of Amboy, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at KSB Hospital in Dixon.  She was born Nov. 12, 1943, in Evergreen Park, the daughter of Joseph and Helena (Hermanowski) Chorvat. She had worked at the Dixon Telegraph and the Amboy News Newspapers prior to her retirement.

She was a member of St Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy where she had been a CCD teacher for many years. She had also been active in the church as a Eucharistic Minister and Sacristan. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and was a founding member of the Living History Antique Equipment Association.

Linda married Robert Boysen on Sept. 3. 1966 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Evergreen Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents

Linda is survived by her husband, Bob; children, Kenneth (Sheri) Boysen, of Santa Fe, Texas and Cynthia (Jeffrey) Shaw, of Amboy; and five grandchildren, Alexa, Aaron, Avery and Alena Shaw, and Robert Boysen II.

Funeral services will be held on Friday Dec. 15, 2017, beginning with a 9:30 a.m. prayer service in the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy with Rev. Timothy Draper officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
