DIXON — Judith Mary Cooney, 82, of Dixon, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon.

Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon. Graveside services will be on Thursday at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

Mrs. Cooney was born May 3, 1934, in Chicago, the daughter of Warren and Hazel (McGue) Hopkins. She married Albert J. Cooney on Aug. 13, 1988 in Nevada. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2004.

Survivors include one son, Steven (Clotilde) Curtis; one daughter, Susan Stefanowicz; two grandchildren, Matthew Curtis and Veronica Russo; and one great-grandchild, Aidan; and many nieces and nephews.

Judith was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Hopkins; and two sisters, Phyllis Szymialis and June Hopkins.

A memorial has been established.

Judy will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
