DIXON — Joseph R. Di Bella, 60, of Dixon, formerly of Amboy and Villa Park, died on Monday Aug. 16, 2021 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.

He was born on Jan. 16, 1961 in Caracas, Venezuela the son of Rosario and Grace (Saporito) Di Bella. Joseph worked as a Union Carpenter for over 30 years. He married Jennifer Helfrich in Dixon, on Aug. 25, 2018 (together 17 years).

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; children, Cody (Hannah) Di Bella, of Lake in the Hills, Chase Di Bella, Shaylynne Hunt, Sierra Hunt and Greysin Di Bella, all of Dixon. Joseph is also survived by his siblings, Maria (David) Quehl, Mena (Mark) Zoellner, John (Stacey) Di Bella, Gracey Di Bella, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. – 12:45 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon (Holloway Center). Funeral services will also be on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021 at 1 p.m., at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon and burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon.

In Lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to better the education of his 8 year old son Greysin. Contributions can be made to the family for final expenses or Greysin’s education fund in person at the service, via Venmo: @JennDiBella.
