NAPERVILLE — James “Jim” Lowell Brooks, 69, of Naperville, formerly of Dixon, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at his home. He managed a Hilton Hotel for 40 years, prior to his retirement.

Memorial graveside services will be 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

James was born July 25, 1948, in Dixon,the son of Leon and Pearl (Beatty) Brooks. He married Ellen Tracy on Sept. 6, 1969, in Dixon. Jim served in the United States Airforce.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ellen Brooks, of Dixon; three sisters, Sharon King, Gloria (Larry) Contreas, and Gwen Gallentine, all of Dixon.

James was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Brooks; his parents; and one brother, Warren Brooks.

A memorial has been established to the Naperville Humane Society.
