LASALLE — Francis D. "Dudley" Murray, 86, of LaSalle, and formerly of Sublette, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at the Illinois Veterans Home in LaSalle. He was born January 20, 1931, in St. Paul, Minn., the son of John and Lavina (Neinstadt) Murray.

LASALLE — Francis D. "Dudley" Murray, 86, of LaSalle, and formerly of Sublette, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at the Illinois Veterans Home in LaSalle. He was born January 20, 1931, in St. Paul, Minn., the son of John and Lavina (Neinstadt) Murray.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Sublette with the Rev. Randy Fronek, Pastor, officiating. Military rites will follow the Mass by the Amboy American Legion. Cremation will follow with burial of cremains at a later date in St. Mary Cemetery in Sublette. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, in the church. A memorial has been established to the American Diabetes Association.
Dudley worked as a Painter for Garbe Iron Works in Aurora.
He was a Veteran of the Navy serving during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Sublette where he has served as an usher. He was also a member of the Amboy Knights of Columbus, and the VFW Post 4079 in Mendota.
Dudley was preceded in death by his parents and a sister in infancy.
Survivors include special friends including Arthur and Margaret Beitler, of Romeoville, Doris Jean Patzer, of Sublette, Bob Weber, of Sublette, and his other friends at Woodhaven Lakes in Sublette.
