ELDENA — Dana E. Barlow, 80, of Eldena, died at his home on Thursday Dec. 23, 2021. 

He was born on Nov. 2, 1941, in Amboy, the son of Franklin and Doris (Stouffer) Barlow. 

Dana was a farmer, truck driver, mechanic, and worked for F.S. and CPS / Nutrient. He was a member of the Amboy Masonic Lodge 178 where he was a 32nd degree Mason and was also a Master multiple times. Dana was also the District Deputy and Grand Sword Bearer for the Illinois Central Lodge. 

He married Beverly Tuel on March 4, 1960 in Oregon. 

Dana is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Brett Barlow, and one brother, Ralph Barlow. 

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Brad Barlow of Chili, Wis., Brian (Nichole) Barlow, of Quartz Hill, Calif., and Brooke (Cindy) Barlow, of Amboy; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dale (Shirley) Barlow, of Amboy; and one sister, Janet Barlow, of Beeville, Texas. 

Visitation will be held from 9 – 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Funeral service will follow starting at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. A luncheon will follow the service at St. James Church and all are welcome of attend. 

A memorial has been established in Dana’s memory to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
