DIXON — Cody A. "Tree" Winters, 30, of Dixon, died Feb. 20, 2020 in Chicago.

He was born Aug. 20, 1989, in Dixon, the son of Brent Winters and Monica Heiderscheit. Cody was raised by his grandparents Mike and Helen Winters, affectionately known as "Pa and Amma," of Dixon.

He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents, Mike and Helen.

Cody is survived by a daughter, Nova; mother, Monica Zinck of Florida; sister Ashley O'Dell, of Dixon; brothers, Colton Monroe, of Dixon and Brandon Winters, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandparents, Ron and Elaine Heiderscheit, of Dixon; aunts and uncles, Mike (Billie-Anne) Winters, of Amboy, Wade (Jen) Winters, of Dixon, Jeremy (Darlys) Heiderscheit, of Rock Falls; and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday March 3, 2020, in the Jones Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., on Monday March 2, 2020, and from noon- 1 p.m., on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
