NASHVILLE – Cherry Lee Clark, 69, of Nashville, passed from this life at 5:56 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2024 at I.U. Health West Hospital in Avon.

Clark was born on August 7, 1955, in Dixon, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Pitzer) Rex. On August 13, 1977, she married John Edward Clark.

Through the years, Mrs. Clark served in many different roles such as working at the Brown County Treasurer’s Office, in the banking industry where she served as a teller, and also as an office manager for a Real Estate Office. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and enjoyed flower gardening.

Above all her pride and joy was her grandson Wyatt as he was sure to always bring a smile to her face.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, John E. Clark of Nashville; daughters, Candice (Aaron) Cheesebrew of North Vernon and Kimberly (Matthew) Koepkey of Shirley, Indiana; mother, Dorothy Rex of Elena, Illinois; grandson, Wyatt Koepkey; brothers, Charles (Becky) Rex of Polo, Illinois, Michael (Betty) Rex of Eldena, Illinois, Bill (Tina) Rex of Dixon, Illinois; sister, Carla Lustig of Wheatfield, Indiana; fur grand-cat Willow, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; infant son, Nicholas Matthew Clark; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen and Archie Clark.

Visitation was from 2–5 p.m. Sunday, September 8 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home in Columbus, IN., and also from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at the church on Monday. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville, IN., with Father Ben Keller, OP officiating. Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, September 20 at Restland Memorial Gardens in Mendota, Illinois, with Rev. Jeff Windy officiating. Wasmer Funeral Home is privileged to assist the family in Illinois. 

In memory of Mrs. Clark memorial contributions may be given to City of Hope Cancer Center in Zion, Illinois.
