DIXON — Charles "Chuck" Frank Rhodenbaugh, 73, of Dixon, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at his home.
He was a lifetime farmer in the Lee County area and also worked for Illinois Department of Transportation.
Chuck was born May 30, 1947, in Dixon, the son of Frank and Elma (McCarter) Rhodenbaugh. He married Dianne Lawson on July 4, 1970, in Freeport.
Chuck served in the Army National Guard from 1968-1971. He was a longtime member of Harmon United Methodist Church in Harmon and the Masons including: Rock River Lodge # 612, Friendship Lodge #7 and the Nachusa Lodge. Chuck was also a member of the Lee County Farm Bureau and a Lee County 4-H volunteer.
Most of all he loved fishing and spending time with his family at "Lake Winnie" in Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dianne Rhodenbaugh, of Dixon; three children, Kimberly (Shawn) Gerster, of Carol Stream, Tracy (Jeff) Corcoran, of Belvidere and David (Michele) Rhodenbaugh, of Dixon; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edna (Donald) Fadden, of Issaquah, Wash.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with a Masonic Service. Cremations rites have been accorded.
