Fenwick was born March 24, 1924, in Harmon, the daughter of Theodore and Helen (Roark) Knoll.  Jane was an LPN at the Dixon State School for 19 years prior to retirement.  She was a graduate of Community Catholic High School (Newman).

Mary was a strong woman with a joyful countenance. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She never met a stranger and loved getting to know people from every walk of life. Though she traveled to Europe and across the U.S., she loved the rural life here, taking great pleasure in watching farmers harvest corn or plant fields. She loved gardening, especially fresh vegetables and spring flowers. She sewed, crocheted and was an accomplished quilter.

Fenwick made life better for those who knew her. She was faithful and a fine example of a Christian woman.

On Nov. 24, 1945, Jane married Raphael "Ray" Fenwick in Amboy.  He preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1988.  She also was preceded in death by three sons, Theodore, Charles and David Fenwick and two brothers Henry "Larry" (Nadine) Knoll, and James Knoll.

Jane is survived by her children BJ (Pam) Fenwick of Sterling, Trudy (Walter) Granstrom Seward of Dixon, Jeanette (Roger) Schinderling of Quincy, Paul (Dr. Audie Klotz) Fenwick of Liverpool, NY, Lucy (Rick) Strub of Pompano Beach, FL, Betsy (Rev. Rob) Iler of Alexander City, AL, Joe Fenwick of Amboy, Tim (Karen) Fenwick of Mendota, Dr. Margaret "Peg" (Dr. Kevin) Harbol of Bothell, WA, and Rick (Maria Rossoto) Fenwick of Stone Mountain, GA, 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and one sister-in-law, Ardlene Knoll, of Loveland, CO.
