DIXON — Timothy “Tim” G. Villa, 69, of Dixon, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. He was a systems analyst for the United States Marine Corps, prior to his retirement.

DIXON — Timothy “Tim” G. Villa, 69, of Dixon, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. He was a systems analyst for the United States Marine Corps, prior to his retirement.
Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon and from 9 a.m., until time of services on Friday. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott F. Porter, pastor of Abiding Word Church, Sterling. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery.
Timothy was born Dec. 13, 1947, in Ashland, Ky., the son of Donna Jean (Colegrove) Burton. He married Judy A. Fraley on March 4, 1969, in South Shore, Ky. Tim served in the United States Marine Corps for 22 years and was a member of the Marine Corp League.
He enjoyed building model airplanes, playing with his trains, and lived with passion. Once a Marine always a Marine – Semper Fi.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Villa, of Dixon; one son, Tim S. (Alicia) Villa, of Springfield; one daughter, Crystal (Evan) Thorpe, of Dixon; one sister, Judith Icasiano, of California; seven grandchildren, Tim M. (Andi) Villa, Matthew (Tiffanie) Villa, Haley Thorpe, Rebecca (Wes) Elliott, Simon Thorpe, Clara Thorpe, Richard Craig Villa; and four great-grandchildren, Abraham Villa, Greyson and Presley Wigman, Kallan Villa, and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and his grandparents.
