DIXON — Shirley Grace Ebaugh, 93, of Dixon, died Sunday, March 19, 2017, Avonlea Cottage Assisted Living, Dixon. She was a teacher’s aide at Madison School prior to her retirement.

Visitation will be 2 - 4 p.m., Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon. Private burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon.

Mrs. Ebaugh was born Oct. 28, 1923, in DeKalb, the daughter of Oscar N. and Sarah (Saltsgiver) Larson. She married Donald “Don” R. Ebaugh on Sept. 23, 1944, in Camp Lejeune, N.C. He preceded her in death in 1988. Shirley was a member of Dixon Rotary, and earned the Paul Harris Fellow award. She was full of life. She loved playing the piano and entertaining in different venues, and loved the North Woods in Wisconsin and traveling to Florida.

Shirley is survived by one son, Scott (Susan) Ebaugh, of Geneva; one brother, Ron (Nonine) Larson, of Mesa, AZ; three grandchildren, Brigitte (Dan) Schultz, of North Branch, Minn., Sarah (Joe) Perkowski, of Hugo, Minn., and Kathryn Ebaugh, of Chicago; and three great-grandchildren, Joey, Jarrick, and Brady.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Steve Ebaugh.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Alzheimer’s Association.
