CHARLESTON – Three Amboy-LaMoille boys’ track state qualifiers had their season end in the preliminaries of the IHSA Class 1A State Track Meet held May 23-25 at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.
Thomas Stamberger competed in the 800-meter run and was clocked in 2:00.54. The state champion in the event was Boston Stewart of Decatur St. Teresa in a time of 1:54.93.
Austin Norman participated in the 110-meter high hurdles and had a preliminary time of 17.3. Mason Barr of Colfax Ridgeview claimed the state title with a time of 13.94.
Brock Loftus ran in the 3200-meter run and finished in a time of 11:18.99. Christopher Collett of Seneca took home the state crown with a time of 9:36.99.
Catlin Salt Fork was the team state championship.
