AMBOY – The Amboy High School Lady Clippers Volleyball program hosted a volleyball camp for young girls interested in volleyball the week of July 8.

The Lady Clippers had two sessions for three days. The first session was second through fifth grade and the second session was sixth-eighth grade. There were over 92 campers and high school players who participated. Campers were from Amboy, Ohio, Holy Cross, and Ashton-Franklin Center.

The girls worked on the fundamentals of volleyball including serving, passing, setting, hitting and the rotations. The girls also played games such as, Queen of Court, Hot Dog, Around the Bend, and the camp favorite Duck, Duck, Goose.

The Amboy volleyball program sends a thank you to the high school players for helping and being wonderful “buddies” to the younger campers.

Addison Blaine, Amylia Bump, Madelyn Clarida, Faith Fenwick, Abigail Fox, Karona Gall, Kilah Helm, Caylee Hummel, Teagan Payne, Sydney Whelchel, and Tinley Whitney. 

Thanks is also sent toward Coach Lindsey Kaleel, Coach Sean Shepard and Coach Medlin, and Kaleel’s Clothing and Printing for making the camp t-shirts for us. 

The campers in the first session: The second-grade campers were Adaline Montavon, Ryleigh Wolf, Emily Valdez, Dany Lahman, Lorelei White, Addyson Benson. The third-grade campers were: Savannah Benson, Ava Montavon, Harper Meusel, Audrey Hanson, Claire Considine, Paisley Payne, Raelynn Evans, Emmieline Roberts. The fourth-grade campers were Grayson Montavon, Everly Bryant, Olivia Henkel, Dilynn Whitney, Jasmine Mount, Kendall Hopper, Elly O’Malley, Ava Riley, Rosalie Bolin, Madison O’Connell, Liana Davies, Maddy Britton. The fifth-grade campers were Annalise Considine, Mila Burke, Emy Moore, McKenzie Warner, Emmerson Benson, Aubreyanne Kimball, Emery Williams, Selena Daffer, Rebecca May.

In the second session was: The sixth-grade campers were: Mackenna Alletto, Emily Meyers, Cozy Schoenholz, Austyn Britton, Taylyr McNinch, Alice Klein, Kaiya Kaleel. The seventh-grade campers Kendyll Whitney, Alexis White, Amelia Kant, Molly Wilson, Annabelle Leffelman, Vanessa Gross.
