SUBLETTE — Daniel M. Purdy, 88, of Sublette, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, at OSF St. Paul Medical Center in Mendota. 

He was born March 8, 1931, in Tulsa, Okla., the son of Glenn C. and Marguerite (McCullough) Purdy.
Daniel was an Engineer for Bucyrus-Erie in Milwaukee, as well as a Professor at South Suburban College in Harvey for 25 years prior to his retirement.
Daniel was a veteran of the Navy. He was a member of Sublette Union  Church where he taught Bible study.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Martha Purdy.
Survivors include his friends and caregivers Kathy Marciniak, Carol McGuire, and June Winters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, in the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy with Brian McWethy, Pastor of  Grace Fellowship Church in Sublette, officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home.
