AMBOY — The Amboy Clippers suffered a pair of losses in varsity boys’ basketball action last week.
Amboy traveled to Serena on Nov. 30 and the host Huskers posted a 53-28 victory.
The Clippers fell behind 13-5 after the first quarter and trailed 27-13 heading to the break. Serena continued building on its lead in the second half.
Connor Simpson and Brennen Blaine led Amboy with seven and six points, respectively.

Indian Creek downed the Clippers, 45-39, on Dec. 2 at Shabbona.
The game was tight throughout, with the Timberwolves leading by just one (11-10) at the conclusion of the first eight-minute session. Indian Creek owned a 21-17 advantage at intermission and held a 32-27 margin heading to the fourth frame.
Tucker Lindenmeyer had the hot hand for the Clippers, pumping in a team-high 17 points, while Blaine added 13 markers. Ian Eller netted a pair of three-pointers and chipped in with seven tallies.
