AMBOY — The Amboy Clippers baseball team spilt a pair of games with Milledgeville last week. On Thursday, Amboy traveled to Milledgeville. The Clippers couldn’t get the offense rolling, only getting four hits. Justin Hart doubled, Clayton Kemp, Hunter Zimmerly and Maverick Lindenmeyer, all had singles.

Logan Whelchel had the lone RBI with a groundout. The Clippers fell 6-1 with Zimmerly taking the loss.

On Friday, Amboy hosted Milledgeville at the City Park. The Clippers looked like a completely different team, pounding out 8 hits in a thrilling 6-5 walk off win.

Hart and Mitchell McLaughlin handled the pitching duties. Hart, McLaughlin and Lindenmeyer each had 2 hits. Lindenmeyer had the game winning single, driving home McLaughlin, who had 4 RBI on the night.

The defense was excellent as McLaughlin had 2 run saving plays and a smooth double play turned by Preston Henkel. Kemp and Zimmerly ended another scoring threat. Reece Vaessen was solid at third base and added a single at the plate. The Clippers record now stand at 1-3.
