FRANKLIN GROVE – Bonnie E. Claybourn, 75, of Franklin Grove passed away Nov. 16, 2017 at Central General Hospital, Sterling.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 21 at the Schwarz Funeral Home, Mendota. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery, Arlington.
Bonnie was born April 5, 1942 to Henry Francis and Lilley Mae (Turpen) Meyer.
Survivors include three sons, Stephen Greenwood of Cary, N.C., Christopher (Lance Mitchell) Greenwood of Cherry Valley and Matthew (Shelley) Greenwood of Stillman Valley; one daughter, Bonnie (Lisa) Nyen of Rockford; three brothers, James “Butch” Meyer of Tucson, Ariz., Martin Meyer of Mancelona, Mich. and Joseph Meyer of Peoria; three sisters, Maureen (Daniel) DeLong of Green Lake, Wis., Michelle (William) Faivre of LaMoille and Teresa Meyer of LaMoille; three grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Stephen Christopher in infancy and Michael Henry; and two sisters, Kathleen Capello and Carlin Beard.
Bonnie graduated from LaMoille High School in 1961. During her working years, she was a lunch lady at the Monroe Center schools, a waitress at Syp’s (now Grubsteakers), did line work for DelMonte, and was a warehouse stocker for the Peru WalMart. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in LaMoille.
