AMBOY – The Amboy Clippers volleyball team started their season by traveling to Earlville where the Clippers were victorious in two sets, 25-21 and 25-20.

Clipper netters kick off the 2024 season with a win

AMBOY – The Amboy Clippers volleyball team started their season by traveling to Earlville where the Clippers were victorious in two sets, 25-21 and 25-20.

Kiera Karlson had nine kills and two blocks, Tyrah Vaessen chipped in seven kills, three blocks and three digs.

The JV team won in two sets 25-13, 25-9. Earlville did not have a Freshman team. 

Amboy traveled to Serena and fell just short in a close three-set loss, 25-20, 21-25, 15-17 in non-conference match up. 

Jillian Anderson had eight kills and two aces. Vaessen added five kills and five blocks. Karlson chipped in six kills and three blocks. Emersyn Noble had 15 digs on the night. Rounding out the stat sheet was Jadyn Whelchel with 25 assists. 

The JV team won in two close sets 25-22 and 26-24. The Freshman team lost in two sets 24-26 and 22-25.

In the home opener,the Clippers won in two sets against Mendota 25-21, 25-23.

Anderson led the way with five kills, and eight digs, while Vaessen chipped in three kills and six digs.

The JV team won in three close sets 25-20, 22-21, 15-13. The Freshman team lost 15-25 and 21-25.
