AMBOY – The Amboy boys golf team took to the greens against Mendota and Rochelle on Wednesday, August 28 at Fairways Golf Course in Rochelle.
Senior Carson Barlow led the Clippers with a 41, sophomore Westin Wittenauer had a 47, junior Chase Montavon shot a 49, and AFC senior Logan O’Brien tallied a 50.
Rochelle led the event with a 164, Mendota had a 174, and Amboy finished with a 187.
On Wednesday, Sept. 4, the Amboy golf team fell to Lena/Pearl City at Wolf Hollow Golf Course in Lena with a final dual result of 178-194.
For the Clippers, Montavon shot a 47, Barlow a 48, Wittenauer a 49, and sophomore Gage Mumm finished with a 50.
