OREGON – The Coliseum Museum in Oregon, IL is pleased to announce the opening of the Works in Watercolor Art Exhibit on display from August 1 – September 14. The exhibit features twenty-four artists with forty-eight pieces of art, covering a wide range of subjects including landscapes, cityscapes, floral, portraits, animals and more.

Watercolor Art Exhibit opened Aug. 1 in Oregon

OREGON – The Coliseum Museum in Oregon, IL is pleased to announce the opening of the Works in Watercolor Art Exhibit on display from August 1 – September 14. The exhibit features twenty-four artists with forty-eight pieces of art, covering a wide range of subjects including landscapes, cityscapes, floral, portraits, animals and more. 

 Visitors to the Coliseum Museum will be allowed to vote for their favorite art piece with the People’s Choice Award winner announced at the close of the exhibit. 

 The Coliseum Museum will present an Artist Reception on August 9, 6:00pm – 8:00pm with music by New Shoes consisting of Jeff Kagay on guitar/vocals & Neil Jones on cahon and various percussion instruments. They play acoustic easy rock from the 60’s thru present covering artists from The Beatles, CCR, Moody Blues, Tom Petty, REM, Real Estate, originals and so much more. 

 The August schedule also includes new exhibits by pastel artist Paula Kuehl of McHenry on the Feature Walls, watercolor artist Janet Cederlund of Union in the Lowden Gallery, and the photography of Steve Toole of Ashton in the Taft Gallery.

 On Sunday, August 4, at 2:30pm the Coliseum Museum will present a concert featuring the Tamarack Players who perform a variety of music from the past and present including Jazz, Pop, and Broadway.
