LEE COUNTY — The Lee County Health Department announces 644 new positive cases between Jan 11-17, 2022. They also are saddened to report the deaths of two male residents-one in his 40’s & one in his 70’s.

Lee County Jan. 17 COVID update

LEE COUNTY — The Lee County Health Department announces 644 new positive cases between Jan 11-17, 2022. They also are saddened to report the deaths of two male residents-one in his 40’s & one in his 70’s. 

Here are the ages that were reported: 96 12 and under, 82 in his or her teens, 105 in his or her 20s, 103 in his or her 30s, 95 in his or her 40s, 73 in his or her 50s, 54 in his or her 60s, 20 in his or her 70s, 9 on his or her 80s, and 7 in his or her 90s. A total of 12 residents are hospitalized. The county also reported that the number of cases in unvaccinated individuals is 524 of the 644 cases.

Vaccine

As of Jan. 21, according to IDPH 48,111 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Lee County, and a total of 19,371 people in Lee County are fully vaccinated, which is 56.60 percent of the population. A total of 21,064 have received at least one dose of the vaccine. A total of 9,872 people have received the vaccine booster shot.
