AMBOY The parking lot of the Lee County Fairgrounds didn’t have much breathing room Thursday, July 25 through Sunday, July 28 as farmers, cake decorators, model builders, horseback riders, rodeo clowns, food vendors, artists, gardners, and creators of all magnitudes , as well as an audience to see their creations and performances, came to the Lee County Fair & 4-H Show.

As usual, there was a high level of hard work and awesomeness behind the projects, which were of course awarded with ribbons.

Judges had tough decisions as they critiqued every nook and cranny looking for a difference between first and second, and second and third. It wasn’t easy, but they made critical decisions to properly acknowledge each and every 4-H participant for their achievements.

While walking the isles of the displays, one onlooker said, ‘How do these young kids create these masterpieces?”

Each night was capped with an event in the grandstands including truck and tractor pulls and a rodeo.
