LEE COUNTY — The Lee County Health Department announces 196 new positive cases between Dec. 14-20. 

Here are the ages that were reported: 47 under the age of 12, 29 in his or her teens, 16 in his or her 20s, 32 in his or her 30s, 25 in his or her 40s, 16 in his or her 50s, 18 in his or her 60s, 12 in his or her 70s, and 1 on his or her 80s. A total of 24 residents are hospitalized. The county also reported that the number of cases in unvaccinated individuals is 172 of the 196 cases.

Vaccine

As of Dec. 23, according to IDPH 45,297 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Lee County, and a total of 18,839 people in Lee County are fully vaccinated, which is 55.05 percent of the population. A total of 20,471 have received at least one dose of the vaccine. A total of 8,147 people have received the vaccine booster shot.
