CHARLESTON – Amboy-LaMoille boys’ track team member Brock Loftus participated in the IHSA Class 1A Boys’ State Track & Field meet on June 17 at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.
Loftus, who just completed his junior year, competed in the 3200-meter run. He finished in the 26th position with a time of 10:46.71.
The overall 3200-meter run champion was Justin Mumford of Trenton Wesclin, who completed the race in 9:18.26.
The Class 1A team champion was Elgin Harvest Christian Academy with 51 points over second-place Catlin Salt Fork with 38 points.
