Lady Clippers, Raiders team up for Pink Night

Posted

AMBOY — The Amboy Lady Clippers and AFC Lady Basketball squads teamed up to win the battle against cancer on Jan. 17.

The two teams came together to host a Pink Out Night during their JV and Varsity games. The girls held a quilt raffle, t-shirts sale, Chuck a Duck raffle and a silent auction. Together the teams raised $1,500 during the night and contributed the proceeds to The Charity Stripe and will be donated locally. The Charity Stripe® is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for charitable recipients who are experiencing financial and/or emotional hardship due to military service, debilitating illness, natural disaster and/or other philanthropic conditions.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support the PInk Out Night. Special thanks to Sheila and John Hemminger, Kirsten and Pete Donna and family, Amanda and Brian Blaine and family, Steve and Deb Althaus and family, Mike and Pam McCracken, Annette Larson and family, Kaleel’s Printing, Pam Payne and Betsy Jones, WahlClipper Corporation/Ann Barlow, Matthew Friel, AJHS Girls Basketball Team/families, and AHS Lady Clippers and families for donating to this wonderful event. Also special thanks to Karen McCoy for the beautiful quilt she made out of the past Pink Shirts.
