STRONGHURST – The Amboy Lady Clippers saw their softball season come to a close after they were defeated by Biggsville (West Central), 15-0, in a Class 1A Regional game on June 3 at Stronghurst. The game was stopped in the fourth because of the 10-run rule.

STRONGHURST – The Amboy Lady Clippers saw their softball season come to a close after they were defeated by Biggsville (West Central), 15-0, in a Class 1A Regional game on June 3 at Stronghurst. The game was stopped in the fourth because of the 10-run rule.
West Central started off strong right out of the gate with a six-run first inning. The Heat matched that with another six-run outburst in the third and it added three more in the fourth to complete the scoring.
Madelyn McLaughlin, Mallory Powers and Gabby Jones each singled for Amboy.
Powers was the losing pitcher.
The Lady Clippers concluded the season with a 4-7 record.
