SPRING VALLEY – The Amboy Clippers saw their golf season come to a close in the Peru (St. Bede) Class 1A Regional on Oct. 7 at Spring Creek Golf Course in Spring Valley.
The Clippers finished 14th in the team standings with a score of 438.
The top three teams advancing to the sectional round were Port Byron (Riverdale) with a 318, Putnam County with a 356 and St. Bede with a 359.
Competing for the Clippers were Wes Wilson (101), Hayden Wittenauer (106), Ethan Pratt (110), Austin Bogle (121), Mike Zallar (127) and Jarod Warner (127).
The individual regional champion was Ian Roach of Putnam County with a 75.
