AMBOY – The Amboy-LaMoille Clippers ran into a quality Dakota club and suffered a 47-6 loss to the Indians in a Northwest Upstate Illini Conference contest on Oct. 6 at the AHS field.
Dakota held a 27-0 halftime lead before the Clippers broke the shutout in the third period with their lone touchdown of the game. Amboy-LaMoille generated 207 yards of offense.
Ben Rhine paced the rushing attack with 57 yards on 16 carries, while Justin Hart added 44 yards and Jake Schaver chipped in with 33 yards. Hart completed three passes for 71 yards, with Andrew Gillan gathering in a pair of aerials for 37 yards.
Kenny Hartman had the other catch for 34 yards. Two Dakota runners rushed for over 100 yards as the team picked up 459 yards in the contest.
The Clippers’ records now stand at 2-5 overall and 2-4 in the conference. They will entertain Galena (0-7, 0-6) on Friday, Oct. 13 at the AHS field.
