Clippers Softball
SOMONAUK – The Amboy Lady Clippers will participate in the Somonauk Class 1A Regional Softball Tournament.
Paw Paw will play at Indian Creek to begin the action on Monday, May 14. The winner of that game advances to the semifinal-round to meet top-seeded Somonauk on Tuesday, May 15. The Lady Clippers and Earlville will battle in the other semifinal game on Wednesday, May 16 at 4:30 p.m.
The semifinal winners will play for the regional title at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19.
The winner of the Somonauk Regional will move on to the Serena Sectional to hook up with the Chicago (Hope Academy) Regional champ on Wednesday, May 23 at 4:30 p.m. The other sectional participants will come from the Melrose Park (Walther Lutheran) and Newark regionals.

Monday, May 14
1 – (9) Paw Paw at (7) Shabbona (Indian Creek) – 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, May 15
2 – (1) Somonauk vs. Winner Game 1 – 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 16
3 – (3) Earlville [Coop] vs. (5) Amboy – 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 19
4 – Winner Game 2 vs. Winner Game 3 – 11 a.m.
Clippers Baseball
ASHTON – The Amboy Clippers will participate in the Ashton-Franklin Center Class 1A Regional Baseball Tournament.
LaMoille and AFC will meet in an opening-round game on Monday, May 14, with that winner taking on Forreston at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 16. Amboy will battle Earlville at 6:30 p.m. May 16, with the two Wednesday winners playing for the regional title at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19.
The AFC regional champion will advance to the Hanover (River Ridge) Sectional to face the winner of the East Dubuque Regional on Wednesday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m. The other sectional participants will come from the Lena-Winslow and Morrison regionals.
