Amboy native Navy Lieutenant Nicolle Ely received a heroes welcome home on Friday morning in Amboy. Ely, a 2007 graduate of Amboy High School was deployed to Afghanistan. Elly was escorted on an Amboy Fire Truck through downtown where friends, family and the Amboy American Legion welcomed her home. As part of the parade route, Ely was driven past the Amboy schools where the students welcomed her home with signs and cheers.
