Amboy Shell offered a Thanksgiving meal on Nov. 16 with all of the proceeds going to the Shop with a Sheriff program. Amboy Shell raised $1,210.43 for the program. In the Shop with a Sheriff program, each underprivileged child is assisted by a police officer in picking out the presents they wanted Santa Clause to bring them this year during a shopping trip to Wal-Mart. Each child received a certain monetary amount in gifts and was able to meet Santa at the end of the day. For the last several years, Wal-Mart has made a generous contribution to this program and provided Elves to wrap the presents.
