SUBLETTE — A concern from the audience about Thanksgiving garbage pick-up brought up during the Dec. 14 Sublette Village Board meeting.
The concern from the audience was that the garbage at multiple houses was missed the week of Thanksgiving, and not knowing what to do when the garbage doesn’t get picked-up.
Sublette Village Board Trustee Julie Kessel said that 27 residents did not have their garbage picked-up that day.
Acting Village Board President John Stenzel said that the village had a different garbage driver that day.
“The driver we have does a very good job,” Stenzel said. Adding that this was unfortunate but doesn’t normally happen.
Stenzel said he would talk with Republic about the concern, and hopefully it won’t happen again.
He added that there will be no change for garbage pick-up in Sublette for Christmas or New Year – garbage will still be picked-up on Thursday.
