DIXON — Mylroy “Roy” Henry Kane, Jr., 69, of Dixon, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, at his home. He was a tool and die maker for Eyelet Products in Dixon for 21 years prior to his retirement on Dec. 31, 2015.

DIXON — Mylroy “Roy” Henry Kane, Jr., 69, of Dixon, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, at his home.  He was a tool and die maker for Eyelet Products in Dixon for 21 years prior to his retirement on Dec. 31, 2015.

Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m., on Friday, March 3, 2017, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

Roy was born Jan. 25, 1948, in Newark, Ohio, the son of Mylroy H. and Christine I. (Gregg) Kane, Sr. He married Nancy D. Fisher on Sept. 17, 1982. Roy enjoyed working with model trains and lawn mowers.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Nancy D. Kane, of Dixon; five children, Becky (Duane) Ferris, of Grand Junction, Colo., Candy (Jim) Johnstone, of Polo, Christine (Levi) Leazott, of Dixon, Eric (Stacy) Kane, of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Tim (Aubrey) Fisher, of Morrison; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Thelma Eads; and two brothers, Benny and Max Kane.

Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m., on Friday, March 3, 2017, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

A memorial has been established to the Salvation Army.
