John Morley III of Morley Signs works to put the “AMBOY” back on the north and south sides of the Amboy Depot Museum on May 22. The original painted letters wore off and disappeared over the years due to weathering and work done on the outside of the building. The executor of Professor Arthur Blocher’s estate gave permission to sell the crates of rocks that had laid dormant for many years in the loft of the freight house. Funding for this project was made possible by the money received from the sales. These letters should last approximately 40 year and can be removed during any future renovation projects to the building. (News photo by Tonja Green eld)
