Amboy Lions Club President, Roger Wittenauer, presents a $300 check from the club to the Amboy Volunteer Firemen Food Basket Committee, (left) Emily Rose, Jennifer Certo, Betty Shaw and Kim Stram. Donations for the community food baskets are being accepted at the Fire Station, 25 S. East Ave., between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until Dec. 13. The station will be open and accepting donations during the Amboy Hometown Christmas Walk on Saturday, Dec. 14. Please call the station at 815-857-2325 for more information. The Amboy Lions Club meets at the Amboy Community Center. The next meeting is Monday, Jan. 13, at 6 p.m.
