SUBLETTE – If you’re watching your children play on the Centennial Park playground equipment or taking a hike on the walking path surrounding the park and the Ellice Dinges Center in Sublette, there are now new opportunities to take a breather.
The Delmar and Joan Dinges family donated two benches to the Sublette Park Board. One is located by the south playground and the other is alongside the walking path.
“The money was donated by the Delmar and Joan Dinges family,” said Sublette Park Board President Chris Leffelman. “They donated the money in memory of them, which is very nice. The whole family has been great to the park. The benches are a great addition to the park.”
There isn’t a marker or plaque currently, but there will be one mounted on the concrete the benches sit on very soon.
Terry and Nancy Leffelman helped pour the concrete and secure the benches.
Joan passed away in 2016 and Delmar passed in 2023.
