AMBOY — Brianna Blaine, daughter of Brian and Amanda Blaine, was named October Student of the Month at Amboy High School.
GPA: 4.02/4.0
Memberships/Involvement: I am part of the girl’s volleyball and basketball teams, I am National Honor Society Vice President, Spanish Honor Society Treasurer, Senior Class Secretary, and a member of the Leo’s Club.
Awards/Honors: I received the NUIC Academic All-Conference Award my sophomore and junior year, for both basketball and volleyball. I also received the Serving Award for volleyball, and Most Improved varsity basketball player my junior year.
Best Memories of AHS: My best memory of AHS has definitely been the excitement of our basketball postseason my sophomore and junior year. The feeling of having the whole town’s support is so meaningful, and I will always cherish the memories that I made with my teammates and coaches.
Future Plans: I plan on attending University of Iowa or University of Illinois to major in biology. My goal is to eventually become a physician or a physician assistant.
