The annual Amboy Memorial Day ceremony was held at Veterans Park and began a little before 10 a.m. due to a storm heading toward town from the west. The Amboy High School choir, pictured above, sang a medley of patriotic songs. Amboy Mayor and National Guardsman John Schamberger gave the featured address, reminding those attending to think about the meaning of Memorial Day. Alison O’Rourke and Avery Shaw performed Taps to end the ceremony.
