AMBOY — The Amboy Fire Department will be hosting its 150th Year Community Celebration on Saturday, July 3, beginning at 2 p.m., in downtown Amboy at Main St. and N. East Avenue.
Included in the celebration are the water fights tournament. This will be using Blackhawk rules and a double elimination tournament.
Other events include:
- Touch-a-Truck 2-7 p.m.
- Hotdogs and Chips (until gone) 3 p.m.
- Concessions (Kids) 3-8 p.m.
- Concessions (Adults) 6-10 p.m.
- Whimsy Pixie Face Painting 3-6 p.m.
- Bouncy houses 3-7 p.m.
- Games 3-7 p.m.
- Superheroes 4-7 p.m.
- Axe Throwing 6-9 p.m.
- OSF Helicopter Landing 7 p.m.
Live music will begin at 4 p.m. with the band Snaphot, followed at 7:30 p.m., with the band Moonshine Bandits.
City fireworks will commence at dusk.
Portable bathrooms, handwashing station, and hand sanitizer stations on site throughout event.
