AMBOY — The family of Carole Benson of Amboy, is requesting a card shower in honor of her 80th birthday.  

Carole was born on Jan. 3, 1942, at Angear Hospital in Sublette.  

Her family includes her children, Susan (Hugh) McCoy, of Sublette, IL, Connie (Jon) Yambert, of Compton, the late Sherry (Lane) Zerbe, of Byron, and Dr. Jonathan (Sarah) Benson, of Huntertown, Ind. Carole’s eight grandchildren are Ryan McCoy, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Courtney McCoy, of Ottawa, Shannon Wegner, of Dixon, Kelly Callahan and Michelle Callahan, both of Aurora, Jennifer Hermeyer, of Amboy, Josh Christoffersen, of Chicago, and Tara (Adrian) Medina, of Naples, Fla.  A granddaughter, Sarah Christoffersen, died in infancy. Carole has nine great-grandchildren, including Ren McCoy, Nolan Wegner, Sienna Morales, Caden Hermeyer, Jayce Hermeyer, Asher Eccles, Alexis Medina, Liliana Medina, and Quentin Medina.
