AMBOY — Leon Charles Full, 80, of Monroe, Wis., and formerly of Amboy, died at his home on Sunday Nov. 7, 2021.

Leon was a talented woodworker and enjoyed spending time in his workshop. He was always fixing things, building a piece of furniture, or creating a piece of art. Leon was a loving, gentle, and humble man of humble means. He enjoyed life wholeheartedly, and was quite the social butterfly. He was also a prankster, and had his own innocuous sense of humor that would, and will always, bring smiles to those who knew him. He adored his family, friends, and especially his wife, Jean, of 42 years. Leon and Jean were inseparable, always taking day trips together to enjoy the scenery and the great local fare. Leon’s main concern in life was the welfare of his children and especially the welfare of his wife, up until the very end of his time in this world.

He was born on June 17, 1941 in Mendota, the son of Ralph and Evelyn (Conderman) Full. He graduated from Greer Technical College in Chicago. Leon was a Maintenance Supervisor at Allied Locke Industries, where he worked from 1969 until his retirement in 2009. In his retirement he worked part time at Davinci Powder Coating. He was a member of the Green River Saddle Club, Janesville Kiwanis Club, and Martin Town Community Church.

Leon married Jean Krause Bonnell on Sept. 27, 1979 in Dixon.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; and sister, Connie Full.

Leon is survived by his wife, Jean; children, Virginia (Andy) Dewey, of Polo, Stephanie (Dean Payne) Longtin, of Dixon, Sherri (Chris) Schoaf, of Oregon, Josie (David) Mosinski, of Fairfield, Iowa, Scott (Andra) Full, of Keene, N.H., Julie (Jeff) Hussey, of Stillman Valley; grandchildren, Michael Dewey, Amanda Dewey, Drew (Amber) Dewey, Lane Longtin, Samantha Merrill, Jacob (Maria) Dewey, Mackenzie (Jared) Schleicher, Bryan Dewey, Trent Full, Tyler Full, Alec Full, Brandi Richardson, Austin (Hana) Yuill, Stephanie (Bill) Friedrich, Ryan (Lexy) Schoaf, Aaron Schoaf; and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Jacqueline Full, of Dixon, Donna (Herman) Clevenger, of Walnut; brothers, Darrell (Sharon) Full, of LaMoille, Randy (Laurie) Full, of Harmon; and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
