In playing their second game of the day at 5:30 and their third game in less than 25 hours, the Lady Clippers battled through fatigue and foul trouble in absorbing a 38-34 setback to Pecatonica in the fifth-place game.

With Dinges and Jones in foul trouble, Larson stepped up and led Amboy’s offense with 12 points on six of eight shooting. She also snared five rebounds. Dinges scored all seven of her points in the second half and also had eight caroms and four steals. Jones also tallied her six points in the second half and she added three rebounds, two assists and four steals. Freshman Addison Pertell netted five points and had a pair of steals, while classmate Vaessen sank a three-pointer and hauled down three rebounds.
