PHOENIX, Ariz. - Karen Ann Koehler-Dunsworth passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2018.
Karen was born April 15, 1958 in Amboy, the daughter of Kenneth and Lois Koehler. Both parents have preceded her in death.

PHOENIX, Ariz. - Karen Ann Koehler-Dunsworth passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2018.
Karen was born April 15, 1958 in Amboy, the daughter of Kenneth and Lois Koehler. Both parents have preceded her in death.
Prior to moving to Phoenix in 2016, Karen's 27 year nursing career at CGH Medical Center allowed her to be affiliated with several departments: RN/Emergency Dept, NSG Supervisor, RN/Ambulatory-Outpatient Surgery, Staff Development Coordinator & RN/Digestive Health Center Nurse.
Karen was also an Adjunct Faculty/Instructor (RN/MSN) at Sauk Valley Community College for 14 years as a Clinical Instructor for the on-line nursing program & Student Educator/Teacher for Radiology Technology Students.
She obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing in Miami, Fla., then went on to obtain her Bachelor's at University of IL/Chicago and a Masters of Science at NIU.
Karen is survived by one daughter, Alysha Dunsworth (Jeremy Wilson), of Glendale, Ariz.; two sisters, Sheila (Don) Clayton and Judy Koehler-Gabelmann, both of Amboy; one brother, Steve (Sandi) Brown, Evansville Ind.; life long friend, Rebecca Donna (Rick Roeing), of Rutland; nieces, Erin (Greg) Welker, of Byron, Karli (Matt Schmitt) Gabelmann, of Rock Falls; and nephew, Lucas Gabelmann, of Amboy.
A private ceremony/Celebration of Life for immediate family was held on Sunday, Dec 23, 2018, to honor her.
She will forever be missed by those that knew and loved her and will be remembered for her never ending generosity, her laugh, and her beautiful smile that would light up a room. . .
A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society and local Animal Shelter.
