DIXON — June Evelyn Byer, 96, of Dixon, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at Heritage Square in Dixon.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m., until time of funeral services at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at Dixon Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Blaine Miner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
June was born June 1, 1921, in Franklin Grove, the daughter of Jay E. and Luella Mae (Blaine) Miller. She married Howard T. Byer on Dec. 12, 1941, in Franklin Grove. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2010.
She is survived by two daughters, Anita (Daniel) Dunphy and Carolyn (Floyd) Thomas, both of Dixon; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
June was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Brad Byer; and two brothers, Gerald Miller and Elvin Miller in infancy.
Memorials have been established to Dixon Church of the Brethren, Heritage Square, and Pinecrest Manor in Mt. Morris.
Arrangements are being completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon.
