DIXON — Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Planthaber, 64, of Dixon, passed away peacefully, Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at her home with family surrounding her in Dixon. She worked for Heritage Square as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 14 years before her retirement on Friday, Aug. 11, 2017.

DIXON — Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Planthaber, 64, of Dixon, passed away peacefully, Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at her home with family surrounding her in Dixon. She worked for Heritage Square as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 14 years before her retirement on Friday, Aug. 11, 2017.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, at the funeral, home with Pastor Mike Worrell officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Ridge Cemetery in Rochelle, immediately following the service.
Elizabeth was born June 15, 1953, in Rochelle, the daughter of Charles R. and Taimi E. (Pennala) Withrow. She attended Lincoln Avenue Church of God in Dixon and enjoyed collecting salt & pepper shakers. Liz loved her family, children and grandchildren as well as the residents at Heritage Square.
Elizabeth is survived by two sons, Kenny (Shanna) Withrow and Matthew Planthaber, both of Dixon; one daughter, Tammy Withrow, of Rock Falls; four brothers, Donald (Nancey) Withrow, of Mass City, Mich., John (Shirley) Withrow, of Rockford, Gerald Withrow, of Rockford, Paul Withrow, of Rochelle; one sister, Linda (Michael) Hemmen, of Dixon; one sister in law, Sharon (William) Withrow, of Rockford; five grandchildren, Raimend Underhile, Christian Withrow, Destine Withrow, Kathleen Withrow, William Withrow and two great-grandchildren, Theseus Collins and Robby Collins, Jr.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Kenneth, William and Roger Dale Withrow; two sisters Lillian Herdman and La Donna Maldonado.
