AMBOY — Eileen M. Albee, 82, of Amboy, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at Trinity Hospital in Rock Island.
She was born May 8, 1938 in Chicago, the daughter of Lawrence and Laverne (Miller) Miles. Eileen was a waitress at the Northern Railroad and Illinois Central Railroad. She enjoyed doing crafts and flowers while having booths at local Art and Crafts fairs. Eileen was a member of the Mendota Elks Lodge and enjoyed bowling.
She married Arthur B. Albee Sr., on June 7, 1958 in Chicago. He preceded her in death June 2, 2015.
Eileen is survived by her children, Arthur (Deb) Albee Jr., of Amboy, Terry Ann Mull (Everett Bee), of Dixon, Michael (Lisa) Albee, of Dixon and Lawrence (Karen) Albee, of Amboy; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three sisters Joan Mares, of Phoenix, Ariz., Sharon Miles, of Oaklawn, and Gayle (Don) Gawlick, of Worth. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan 7, 2021, at the Mihm-Jones Funeral home. Funeral services will also be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Cremation rites will follow.
